LST Training Begins Today!
Today our LST team—Jim, Celeste, Sydney, Hagan, Emily, and Jonathan—met over lunch for our first team training session. Our devotional was from John 15:1–10, zeroing in on verse 5:
I am the vine, you are the branches. The one remaining in me and I in that one, this one bears more/better fruit, for separated from me you are not able to produce anything.
We talked about what it means to "remain/abide" in Christ and how through Jesus God provides what we need—including the occasional pruning—to grow followers of Jesus.
We then talked about the core value of the LST ministry—the word is the teacher and you are the example—and how that value applies to our upcoming trip to Hildesheim Germany. We talked through what a "typical" day might look like on the ground, and were introduced to the LST workbooks that we and our readers will work through.
I'm excited to participate in this ministry along with my family, and it's an honor to have Emily and Jonathan on our team! I will try to use this space to post updates about our training and, once we're there, what's going on.
