I just received this from the chairperson of the steering committee of the Greek Language and Linguistics unit of the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL):

>Congratulations, your paper, "Not Like Cain": Marking Moral Boundaries through Vilification of the Other in 1 Jn 3:1–18, was accepted for the 2014 Annual Meeting program unit Biblical Greek Language and Linguistics. The meeting will be held in San Diego, CA from 11/22/2014 to 11/25/2014.
I was also invited to read "'Prodding with Prosody': Persuasion and Social Influence through the Lens of Appraisal Theory" in a special session of SBL’s Greek Language & Linguistics unit.
