Writing Challenge
My friend Michael Hanegan tweeted that he had joined a 500-word-per-day writing challenge posted by Jeff Goins. I thought this would be a worthwhile endeavor, so I, too, joined the challenge. The rules are simple:
1. Write 500 words per day every day in January (more than 500 is okay, but 500 is the minimum)
2. Don’t edit; just write (my friend Martha Elford and I agree: this is the most challenging part of this whole thing—in fact, I edited this line 3 times!)
3. If you miss a day, don’t try to make it up, just pick up where you left off
4. Encourage, don’t criticize (unless invited to do so)
5. Blogging counts, but email does not
6. All of this is completely free
I’m in. Are you?
